Courses are delivered on two consecutive days starting at 0930 (please arrive at 0920) finishing 1730.
Powerboat 2
This course is suitable for people with no powerboat experience and those who wish to improve their skills.
The Powerboat 2 course focuses on low speed manoeuvring, man overboard recovery, an introduction to planning, basic navigation and collision regulations. It is a good introduction to power boating in daylight and sheltered conditions including tidal rivers and harbours.

Approximately two thirds of the course duration is spent on the tidal Thames. There is a maximum of three students per instructor.

Successful students are awarded the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Power Boat Level 2 Powerboat Handling certificate which allows you to obtain an International Certificate of Competence (ICC) for a fee.

*Note that Power Boat Level 2 includes Level 1, we do not offer a separate Level 1 course and you do not need Level 1 to attend our course.

At our centre students must be at least eighteen years old on the first day of the course although other centres accept children.
Note that the Club has no obligation to refund if you decide to cancel.

Students who are non-members of Twickenham Yacht Club automatically become Temporary Members.
